The beautifully preserved historic town of Aeroskobing lies on the idyllic island of Aero to the east of mainland Denmark and south of Funen Island. Aeroskobing was a prosperous merchants' town in the 1600s and features narrow streets lined with 17th and 18th century houses. The main tourist attraction is the Flaskeskibssamlingen or Ships-in-a-Bottle Museum where you can see the 1700 exhibits of the lifetime work of Bottle Peter. There are also two local history musems.
