Brac is the largest island of the central Dalmatian group of islands and is the third largest among the Adriatic islands. It is separated from the mainland by the Brac Channel and from the island of Hvar by the Hvar Channel. The highest peak of the island is Vidova Gora at 778 m, the highest peak of all Croatian islands. The largest villages are Pucisca and Supetar but there are many villages, resorts and beaches.
