Ocean Ports of Call

Christianso Island - Sweden Highlights:
Unspoilt nature reserve, scenic natural harbour, 17th century fortress
Christianso is the biggest island in the scenic Ertholomene group which also includes Frederikso and Graesholm. The island is a habitat of waterfowl, a 17th century fortress built by Christian the Fifth and 120 people, mostly fishermen and their families. The cluster is peaceful and quiet, but not during holidays, when it is visited by many tourists arriving to see the monuments and the unique landscape.
