Dochgarroch is a small village that lies at the north-eastern end of the Caledonian Canal, at the head of Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands near Inverness. From here you can visit the 14th century fairytale Cawdor Castle immortalised by Shakespeare with Macbeth, housing a superb collection of tapestries, pictures and furniture with beautiful landscaped gardens. Also visit Culloden Moor, made famous by the MacDonald and Campbell battle in the 13th century.
