The harbour town of Finiki (formerly Phoenicus) has little evidence of its past and has become busy and built up. It is situated on the Turquoise Coast in the southwestern corner of Turkey and provides access to the sites of Arykanda and Limyra. The latter is nearer and dates from the 5th century BC. The hillside above the main settlement (few traces) is covered with tombs and a fortified acropolis. There is also a theatre (2nd century AD).
Further north is Arykanda, again dating from the 5th century BC, it has a wonderful setting on a steep hillside overlooking the valley below. There is a lower acropolis, a large basilica, impressive baths, a gymnasium, small temple, tombs and a theatre.
