Harbour Island, known as Briland by the locals, is located off the northeast coast of Eleuthera Island in the Bahamas,. The only town on the island is Dunmore Town, named after John Murray, 4th Earl of Dunmore, the governor of the Bahamas from 1786 to 1798. It is famous for its pink sand beaches, which are found all along the east side of the island.
